Senior High Onsite Camp

Whether you have been a long time camper or are new to Rainbow Trail, a week of Senior High Camp can be the best week of your summer! Share in a week of creativity, high adventure, leadership opportunities, and close relationships! RTLC South

Rainbow Trail South is a brand new camp experience that is part of the ministries of Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp.  Rainbow Trail is located in the southern part of Colorado.  They know that even though it is a long way to their camp from southern New Mexico, they think you need to be able to get to camp every summer.  So they are bringing camp to you! Rainbow Trail is hosting a week of camp for upper elementary, junior high, and senior high youth of southern New Mexico at Aspendale Mountain Retreat Center in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. (aspendale.org)  Rainbow Trail South will be July 14-19, 2024.

Senior High Open – Compass Points Backpacking

Join other Senior High campers from around the country for a week hiking and camping in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains, raft the white-water of the Arkansas River, and rock climb.  This wilderness adventure offers you the opportunity to do all of this in a supportive Christian environment that will challenge you to try new things and grow in your own faith journey. Gina said this about her trip, “I saw Christ in the people around me, it inspired and renewed my spirit.  I learned new ways to praise God and appreciate his creation.” The week-long adventure is centered on a 3-5 day  backpacking experience led by two awesome guides!  Whether you are a first time backpacker or an experienced mountaineer, the friendships you make this week will make this an adventure you’ll never forget. Rainbow Trail provides backpacks and all the community equipment you’ll need, so get a good pair of boots and bring your sleeping bag and you’ll be off for the journey of a lifetime. Into The Wild – Compass Points Backpacking

Compass Points Group Charters

Join Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp for an amazing backpacking adventure in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Colorado! We will provide you and your group with a Christ-centered adventure that will challenge you both physically and spiritually. Jordan, a camper from Colorado put it this way, I learned “how to be pushed past my comfort zone and allow others to carry me at times as well as giving God control.” Charters include at least two nights in base camp (Sunday and Friday) at Eagle Peak Lodge and 2-4 four nights out in the wilderness of the Sangres. Bridging Borders – Mission Trips

There is no better way to share God’s love than to practice being His servant in communities that are in need. Rainbow Trail’s Bridging Borders service trips provide the opportunity for Senior High youth to travel abroad and do mission work with partnering organizations in Appalachia, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Mexico.  These life-changing trips are a great chance for your church to connect with others and with Christ in new ways.
