Help eRace World Hunger at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp’s 17th Annual Grace Race on Saturday October 7, 2023!  This annual 5k run/walk was started as part of RTLC’s 50th anniversary in 2007, to raise money for ELCA World Hunger.  The event is held in collaboration with the Rocky Mountain Synod Hunger Network. Over the last 16 years, RTLC and the participants of Grace have contributed over $88,633 to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal.  We are aiming for 200 participants for this year’s race.  We want to top $10,000 again this year for the check that we send to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal!

FLEETEST FLOCK

Don’t forget the congregation competition for the Fleetest Flock.  We have a traveling trophy that goes to the congregation with the most participants in the race, running or walking.  Cross of Christ Lutheran in Broomfield won the trophy in  2017, 2018, and in 2019.  Augustana Lutheran in Denver has won the trophy in 2020, 2021 and 2022.  Encourage your congregation to make a big showing and take home some hardware!!

RACE-DAY REGISTRATION STARTS AT 2:30PM ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7th, 2023 AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SLOAN’S LAKE PARK,
1700 N Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80212!

BECAUSE OF CONSTRUCTION, THE GRACE RACE WILL BE STARTING IN A NEW LOCATION IN SLOAN’S LAKE PARK (same as last year).  Take the US-6/6th Ave E Exit (Exit 209A-B) off of I-25 and then take Exit 209B toward Lakewood.  Go approximately 2.2 miles to the Sheridan Blvd/CO-95 exit. Go north on Sheridan. Take a Right on 17th Avenue.  Drive to Mead Street, and then take a left on Meade Street.  Drive to 22nd Ave.  Take a left on 22nd Ave.  Drive to Stuart Street.  there will be a parking lot in front of you.  If that parking lot is full, take a left on Stuart and go to 21st Ave where there is a second parking lot.

Registration and the Start /Finish of the race is located just west of Stuart Street in the park between 23rd Ave. and 22nd Ave. You will see our tents and the Rainbow Trail banner. The address of the park is 1700 Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO.

If registered on or before September 29th, participants are guaranteed a Grace Race T-Shirt, available in adult sizes small, medium, large and x-large.*  Shirts run a size larger than normal.

Fruit and other refreshments will be provided at the finish line, and burgers are available after the race.

*A t-shirt is not guaranteed if registered after September 23rd at 4:30 pm.
