Our High School Volunteer Program is a week of service to the ministry at Rainbow Trail. It is a chance to meet, work with, sing with, and laugh with other Christians. It is a chance to serve the Lord in a beautiful part of His creation, and a chance to deepen your own faith. It is a week of hard work, sunny days, callused hands, quiet times, rowdy activities, and lifelong friendships.
Because so many high school students have expressed an interest in this program, we have had to resort to an application process. Attached, please find the application form, along with Rainbow Trail’s Volunteer Policies. You will need to read the policies carefully, then fill out the form completely. A reference from your pastor is also required. Ask him or her to write a brief letter of recommendation for you, and have him or her send it directly to the camp.
Eight of the ten weeks of summer sessions have been selected as those weeks during which we will use volunteers. We will aim at having no more than 2-4 volunteers during each of those weeks. Your week as a volunteer cannot replace your week as a camper… in other words, if you are still in high school, you must attend a week as a camper in one of RTLC’s senior high programs in order to qualify as a volunteer.
This week could be one of your best weeks of the summer as you work along side of our summer staff. This will give you a taste of what it is like to be on staff for the whole summer!
