RTLC Senior High Retreat - Header

November 22-24, 2024

REGISTRATION IS OPEN

The Senior High Retreat is specifically geared for high school youth. This retreat can be an opportunity to connect on the real struggles that high school presents, explore what life after high school might look like, and how we can live faithfully through it all.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be immersed in community on the mountain, in which we will discover and affirm the gifts that God has given us. November in the mountains can be chilly, but also refreshing both physically and spiritually. Join us and other senior high youth in the Synod for a faith adventure in the mountains!

If the church wants to pay for the deposit, the parent or adult leader can start the registration online and complete forms, until it is ready for the deposit payment. The registration should remain “in the cart.” The church can call our business office (719-276-5233) at that time, and we will complete the registration for the youth participant or adult leader.

If the church wishes to pay the balances due, they may send a check to Rainbow Trail Business Office, 107 S 9th, Suite B, Canon City, CO  81212, or pay by credit card by phone (719-276-5233) if it is prior to the retreat. Outstanding balances due for individuals from a particular church can be obtained through our business office at info@rainbowtrail.org. If the church wants to bring a check to the retreat, they will be given an invoice of outstanding balances due for their youth participants and adult leaders on Sunday morning of the retreat.

ADULT LEADERS

Every group will need to have 1 adult leader for every 7 youth per gender that come to the Retreat. For example, if your group registers 6 male youth and 4 female youth, 1 male adult and 1 female adult will have to accompany the group.

ABOUT KELLIE AND JASON:

Jason Davis and Kellie Lisi met at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp in the summer of 2005 when they worked together on staff. Now, they’ve been married for 15 years and have two kids, Evie and Nolan. Their family lives in Dubuque, Iowa, where Kellie serves as an ordained ELCA deacon as the Director of Community Life and Candidacy at Wartburg Theological Seminary and Jason serves as pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Both Kellie and Jason care deeply about thriving communities, united by the Triune God who calls each of us to lives of service and love. Together, they love to adventure, eat delicious food, support their kids in all their activities, and play with dogs Ralphie and Winston.

MORE ON THIS YEAR’S THEME:

You’ll Never Walk Alone: A Connected Life in the Body of Christ

Matthew 28:20 “…remember I am with you always to the end of the age.”

For the past 50 years, the Liverpool Football Club and their supporters have sung “You’ll Never Walk Alone” at every match. This song, originally from the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel, has become a raucous anthem of support, solidarity, and unity for football fans around the world. The song represents who the Club and their fans are, solidifies their identity and oneness, and carries them through all the wins and losses of life.

As the Body of Christ, we too never walk alone. We, too, are united in the kingdom of God and sent by Jesus to care for our community! We, too, are carried through the wins and losses of the present and hold eternal hope for what can be.

Throughout this retreat weekend together, we’ll explore what it means for us to “Never Walk Alone.”  Together you will be invited to train your soul as you learn new spiritual practices, bake delicious communion bread, and celebrate our authentic connections as the gathered body of Christ.

Join us as we are reinvigorated and reoriented God’s work in the world, knowing in our bones that the Triune God walks alongside us now and forever…for we never walk alone.
